Freestyle wrestling tournament took place in Kherson

  On February 14, 2014 the Ukrainian youth freestyle wrestling tournament took place in Kherson. Boys and girls born between 1997-2000 took part in "Our hopes for prizes" provided by the Ustin Maltsev foundation.
  The wrestling tournament was attended by 22 teams with 200 participants from Kiev, Sumy, Kherson, Odessa, Rovno, Zaporozhje, Kishinev, Truskavets and others cities.
  The tournament could proudly be named as international, since this year's competition was attended by teams from Moldova and Crimea.

  On the first day of the tournament viewers saw the competition between men's and women's teams formed by their coaches. Chief referee of the tournament , honored coach of Ukraine Valeriy Mykolayovych Savchenko formed wrestling pairs depending on age and weight.
  To support young wrestlers many honorary guests visited the event. Some of them are: Ukrainian NOC Vice-President in Kherson region, Olympic silver medalist Sergei Fedorovich Kirsanov, President of Kherson regional Wrestling Federation Grigory Grigoryevich Vovchuk, masters of Sports Wrestling, honored coach of Ukraine Viktor Fedorovych Lushnikov, Ustin Maltsev, the founder of the Ustin Maltsev charitable foundation.
  Next day the competition continued in grand final starring the preliminary winners in all weight categories. At the end of the tournament all winners were awarded with diplomas, medals and prizes provided by Ustin Maltsev.
  "Each training develops technique and individual endurance of the athletes who strive for victory. The tournament is the embodiment of humans' unity and harmony for peace, friendship and mutual understanding, "said coach Valery I.Izdebski.
  The tenacity, desire to win, endurance and patience - all these qualities of true champion can only be gained in hard competition with strong rivals.
