Give the joy to children and they will respond you in the same way

The kids who are treated in Kherson Regional Clinical Hospital in the Hematology Department are to fight for each day of their lives. In spite of the troubles, they are children. They like to be cared, admire to play interesting games, to participate in competitions, to give and receive the presents, especially the presents which were made by their own hands. It helps them to forget about the illnesses and makes them happy. It's not difficult to give the joy, care and smiles to children. The volunteers of Ustin Maltsev Charitable Foundation saw this. The students of Kherson State University, Department of Preschool and Primary Education, visit the children each week. They do not come with nothing, but always have a scenario of entertaining events for children. Because of the student's creativity children have learned various kinds of handiwork such as origami technique, beadwork, producing of the doll-reels, vytynanok, krashanok, paper flowers. They use diverse materials which are purchased by Ustin Maltsev Foundation, such as glass, plasticine, grains, water colours, beads, different materials and paper. The last visit touched the students very much. "Usually after sleeping they eat and go to the play room or for a walk", says the student, Olga Isadchenko». The last time I was there, a nurse asked me to go for a walk with children, they were very glad to hear it. They were playing on seesaw, playing volleyball. The smiles were on their faces all the time, what is pleasant for us! It is the indicator for us, volunteers, the indicator of trust, which the medical staff and the children penetrated with." The students say that the children's smiles and the trust of the medical staff inspire them to come to the hospital again and again.
Because of this in September they will continue their work with children.
