The Collection of Monetary Means within the project Cradles of Hope is completed

Ustin Maltsev Charitable Foundation supported the project Cradles of Hope, which was organized on Viktor Pinchuk Fund initiative. It is the project the aim of which is to create Neonatal Centers throughout Ukraine. The direction of its activity is aimed to reduce mortality of infants in Ukraine and improve the quality of life of saved children. The network of Cradles of Hope centers has already occupied 20 regions of Ukraine. The next step towards the geographical extension of the project became Kherson region, where the Regional Clinical Hospital for Children was chosen as a partnership medical institution. Viktor Pinchuk Foundation provided funds for purchasing three fully equipped intensive care units for department of anesthesiology and resuscitation of newborns. And Ustin Maltsev Charitable Foundation held the charity action the aim of which was to raise funds to buy additional medical equipment for the department. The information campaign started in April and lasted two months. More than 50 bill-boards and city-lights, calling people to be not indifferent to children and to show clemency, were placed on the streets of Kherson. The residents of Kherson could transfer their contributions on the indicated bank requisites or to make a donation during the charity marathon, which was held on the 15th of June in the fashion-café Zefir. Within the marathon, the auction of children's paintings and works of Kherson artist Svetlana Yuryeva was organized.
On the 18th of June the collection of the monetary means was stopped. During this period, the residents of Kherson donated UAH 16 653. This means will be used for purchasing special equipment for neonatal center (two sets of resuscitation MR-100 for premature babies, 3 digital scales BD-590). A metal-plastic window was placed in the Intensive Care Department; 106 meters of fabric were purchased for sewing diapers.
It was done thanks to socially responsible businessmen, organizations and ordinary residents. Among them - the firm Narodnye Okna, public corporation Rembyttekhnika, European Institute, clinic Oxford Medical, firm Diana92, Bank Aval, auto salon Autoplaza, beauty salon Milagro, a clothing store Milano, shoe store Difele, transport service Gunsel, PE Elena Sintserova, a furniture company Nicolas. To purchase equipment the monetary means were donated also by Igor Semenchev, Svetlana Ternavskaya, Oleg Replyanchuk, Olga Tolokinnikova, Natalia Sikachyova, Aleks Krivosheykin, Sergey Zabolotny. The project was supported by the advertising agency Karamel, the newspaper Novy Format, radio station Europa +, radiostation Sofia, TV channel Plus, the newspaper Bulava, Internet portal Tavria- News, the association Youth of the Future, group Siesta, Piro-show Kherson.
The grand opening ceremony of the Neonatal Center Cradles of Hope and transferring of the medical equipment will be held on the 7th of July, 2010 in Kherson Regional Clinical Hospital for Children.
