"The latest social technology: mini-grants as a way of solving the problems of local community"- April 29, 2010 the conference under this name was held in Kherson. The organizers of the conference, Donetsk and Rovno public organizations The Committee of Voters of Ukraine, Chernigov center АHАLАR, which is supported by Stephan Batory Fund (Poland) and Kherson Regional organization The Committee of Voters of Ukraine.
Officials, businessmen and activists of social organizations were participants of the conference. They shared their positive experience to hold mini-grants to solve local problems and also to form social trust and responsibility of local government, business and social representatives. The conference was held as three panel discussions and lasted more than 4 hours. One of the discussions, the subject of which was Attracting the Businesses to Help the Society was about the methods with the help of which socially responsible business can be formed throughout Kherson Region. It was performed thanks to interesting speech of Kherson entrepreneur Ustin Maltsev (founder of the Ustin Maltsev Charitable Foundation). He was the only person among the businessmen who agreed to take part in the conference.
The participants of the conference were convinced that it is necessary for the local authorities, community and business to cooperate with each other. It is necessary to change the conscience, to form trusting relationship and activize inhabitants for improving the cooperation
