The Festival, Which Brings Children's Hearts Together.

Christmas Island - festival under this name appeared in Kherson 3 years ago. The initiator of the festival is archpriest John (Gordienko), the director of Kasperovsky Mother of God Church. The aim of the festival is to give holiday to that people who miss it in their everyday life: orphans, disabled children, children deprived of parental care.
This year Christmas Island was held in the orphanage Teremok. Schools Nr.57, Nr.9, Nr.3 of Karabel microdistrict, and Sunday school on the basis of St. Kasperovsky Mother of God Church gave the Christmas fairy tale to children.
The participants sang Christmas carols and songs, performed bright dances and staging. Presents were given to children in the end of the event! They were prepared jointly by the organizers of the festival: school children collected the toys, Sunday school pupils drew the greeting cards, Ustin Maltsev Charitable Foundation gave sweet presents to children.
