Grand opening of children’s art Festival called “ Christmas Island”.

Grand opening of children's art Festival called " Christmas Island" took place in December 17th at 12 p.m.. Competition has been held already for 4 years and was initiated by eparchy due to regional center mayor's office and Charitable foundation of Ustin Maltsev.

Kherson Gymnasium №3 friendly met the participants and guests. The school gathered together art teams from different schools and junior and children art centers.

The festival was started with exhibition of children's works and continued with grand concert.

In a period from January 8th till 14th the festive action will be held all over the city. At the square nearby Kherson dramatic theatre named in honor of Kulish the competitors will organize a folk fest with dances and traditional Ukrainian "kolyadka" songs. They will also visit orphan houses and homes for senior and disabled people with theirs concert program and will participate in Christmas fair.

"Christmas Island" will be closed with festive concert there its best participants will be awarded with prizes and presents.
