Children’s Rights Protection needs common support of society and authority

Kherson Regional organization of Ukrainian social organization called "Diya" is starting realization of project "Social Influence to Regional Politics of Children's Rights Protection in Kherson Region"

According to National Plan of Action regarding the realization of United Nation Convection on the Children's Rights Ukraine has taken responsibilities on supplying optimal functioning of Childen's rights protection integrated system. Furthermore, legislation on Children's rights protection is conferring the opportunities to local authorities on developing and approving theirs own programs on Children's situation improvement.

Unfortunately special regional program on Children's rights protection doesn't exist. And all existing programs on this question are so distracted.

Because of this "Diya" is aimed to increase the local politics' effectiveness on Children's rights protection by involving society and creating company of social representatives in children's interests.

What can do society and what can be done?
First of all it is supposed to be held social expertise of Kherson Regional State Administration activity. The results will be published by special brochure and spreaded among authorities, mass media and also will be given to public libraries.

Secondly, it will be developed and discussed Regional program project called "Plan of Action on issues of Children's Rights Protection in Kherson District". Group of Experts is going to develop regional program project that will be discussed at the meeting of social council under Kherson Regional State Administration (KRSA), and at the 2 social forums as well.

Text of the Project will be published as special brochure and sent to interested organizations. According to results of discussion the Project will be refined and sent to KRSA for regional council.

Supported by United Nations' Program of development in Ukraine Project will be realized till 6th of December 2011. This is good social investment which is gained to Kherson Region for creation integrated system of Children's Rights Protection.
