Hreshchenskye bathing on Dnepr River

Hreshchenye it is a traditional holiday of our nation.
By tradition this day, on January, 19th, in river, a reservoir or lake do an ice-hole in which after its consecration laymen jump and all is simple wishing to feel curative properties of the consecrated water. This year hasn't presented Kherson with frosts therefore inhabitants of our city were simply dipped in drive Dnepr.
Wishing to support tradition hreshchenskyh   bathing every year will melt more and more. In comparison with last year people has come to some races more. Pleases that annually comes more and more youth.
In hydro park bathed all - young and old. Parents weren't afraid to release the children in water because all know, after bathing on Hreshchenija  Gospodne nobody is ill, and even on a turn it gives force and health. Have plunged into the consecrated waters priest Ioan Gordienko who has spent divine service, and together with it Ustin Maltsev - the head and the founder welfare fund Ustina Maltseva.
After «cooling baths» all present were warmed by warm tea and bagels. Thanks to Maltsev's fund Ustina and children from public organization «Ekosous» entertainments was received by all interested persons.
Very much pleases, that so many people have come for the Epiphany holiday. It is possible to declare safely - townsmen of Kherson appreciate and support Christian traditions. We hope that next year people will be even more.
