March, 28, at the Regional State Administration held a professional discussion about the problems of protecting the rights of children in the Kherson region, in this event took part professionals in children's affairs services, the regional centre of social services for family, children and youth, offices for family, youth and sports, education and science, culture, health, internal policy and public relations, criminal Police Children's Affairs Ministry of Internal Affairs of Ukraine in the Kherson region. Discussion was held as part of public examination of the regional state administration on the protection of children's laws, which is currently supported by UNDP in Ukraine, carries out Kherson Regional Organization of Ukrainian public organization "Dіya" with the Public Council at KRSA.
The professionals shared their thoughts of the issues that need to be urgently solved, to improve the situation of children. Among the most serious identified child abuse, drug abuse, the propensity to crime as a teenager, lack of shelter for orphans-graduates of boarding schools, unemployment children in their spare time. In the region, there is no any "hot line" for children who are need a psychological assistance. There are also mandatory creation of a temporary shelter for children who were Victims of Violence.
Among the main reasons for the increase in the number of "problem" children was inattention to the child-rearing in the family.
The results of the discussions will be used in the preparation of the regional program of protecting children's laws, over which are currently working together managing KRSA and the public
