  August 15, it is the International Day of Protection of homeless animals. It is very difficult to call this day a holiday, because this day was created to support and take care of animals that do not have their owners.
So, the joint efforts with the public organization "WE WRE KHERSONIANS" and Ustin Maltsev Charitable Fund it was organized and held the event on attraction public attention to the problems of our little brothers.
  On the eve of this event, the social activists organized drawing contest on the theme of "Homeless animals" for pupils of communal institutions of the Kherson Regional Council "Center for Social and Psychological Rehabilitation of Children" in the village of Stepanovka. The jury made the determined the results of the competition for the best picture and awarded the winners with diplomas and gifts. During the event it was held a master-class, weaving collars competition, drawings on the asphalt.

  "One of the challenges of the Day of Homeless Animals is to awake the warmth that were laid in people hearts since our childhood. Every child, every adult are able to help our our little brothers. It is very easy, for example: to place an announcement on the search of new owners on the Internet; to pass food and medicines to the animal protection organization; even if that person could shelter animal for a while or to find him temporary home, or the most important, to control the population of homeless animals through its sterilization. Our organization also assists in providing sterilization of homeless animals. I really believe that in our country will be less than indifference, and more love and care", commented Catherine Volkovskaya, the head of the block of the animals and environment protection.
